In order to develop motorbike sport to a higher level, thus allowing Chinese motorbike sport to connect with the world, as well as building a platform to encourage China's riders and manufacturers to showcase themselves through motorsport, from 2007 onwards, the Chinese Motor Sport Association (CMSA) will launch the "China Superbike Championship (CSBK)".
In 2009, CSBK will have four events, there will be 4 separate classes: 600cc, GP125cc class A, GP125cc class B and 150cc Open.
CSBK will form a ladder system for riders to advance. The good riders who perform well in CSBK will be sent by the CMSA to take part in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship or even the MotoGP.
