On 6-7 July, the 2019 Circuit Hero Time Attack Round 2 is completed un-der the summer sun. Over 140 cars spread over 8 classes competed over two days to determine the podium finishers.
New competition rules
For round 2 of Time Attack, there are new rules that makes the action even more exciting. Each class has a new 15 minutes qualifying session 2 (Q2). The important thing is that only the top 5 in Q1 will be permitted to ad-vance to Q2, then the top 3 will be determined in Q2. Only those that can breakthrough from the crowd will get the chance to fight for the podium. This super pole style competition means only true masters will triumph.
Professional platform means professional image
The professionalism and excitement of the Time Attack activity has at-tracted the interest of more brands, Wako’s, Project µ and Wilson Communi-cations have become the sponsors of this activity. In July, Zhuhai is scorching hot. More than 140 cars, withstanding the test of heat dispersion and brake failures, provides the best window of product demonstration for Project µ products. There are BMW M series, Mercedes AMG, Nissan GTR R35 and many other equipped with the brand’s goods, receiving performance support under such a hot environment. According to post-race results, #226 C63, #269 1M have taken class honours. #200 R35 also finishes second in class.
As a professional 3C electronic products and services brand, Wilson Communications found a common point with Circuit Hero Time Attack at “pro-fessionalism”. According to Wilson Communications’ introduction, its director is also a car loving and racing enthusiast. He has taken part in and sponsored various Greater Bay Area track activities before. With the influence of Circuit Hero Time Attack ever increasing and its professional image being approved by the fans, Wilson Communications decides to appear as an official sponsor of the event, in order to spread its “Professional product, professional service” image.
Q1: Compete for entry tickets

The performance in Q1 will decide whether the driver can proceed to Q2 or not. Thus Q1 is already a very fierce battle among drivers. For the drivers in the various classes, two timed sessions also affect their strategies.
Some drivers, who enjoy a certain level of advantage, return to the pit lane as soon as they have set a competitive time in order to save tyres and brakes for Q2. Other drivers fight for better times until the last possible mo-ment.

CH1 class #2 Chen Long-Wei has a clear advantage, on lap 3 he sets a 2:04.138 and collects his Q2 ticket; CH6 class Liang Tong-Yi sets a 1:52.657 on lap 2, topping the timesheets, he then proceeds back to the pit lane. His time remains on top for the session, allowing him to advance to Q2.
CH-B class sixth and seventh places are occupied by Jiang Yan-Jia and Pang Hong-Fu, with less than half a second between them. Both men continue to fight until lap 7 when Jiang extends his advantage to 2.5 seconds. He is fi-nally able to confirm his Q2 place with 4 other drivers.
Q2:All new battle
The focus of the entire circuit is on the Q2 sessions which begins at 14:50. The pan classes battles were truly exciting.
CH1 class Chen Long-Wei was once running in front of a CH3 and a CH2 race cars, performing fantastically. He also holds down the CH1 class win. CH1 second and third places go to Li Jia-Qiang and Xie Bin.

CH2 class victory is claimed by Carnival ST driver Huo Jian-Hong. Lin Zhi-Hua and Wu En-Wen finished second and third.
CH1 class Chen Long-Wei was once running in front of a CH3 and a CH2 race cars, performing fantastically. He also holds down the CH1 class win. CH1 second and third places go to Li Jia-Qiang and Xie Bin.
CH3 class He Zhi-Rong continues his excellent form and takes CH3 win with a 1:55.318 lap, 2.5 seconds faster than he did in Q1! Second and third places go to Liu Yao-Qin and Su Jun-Hua.
In CH5 and CH6 class, Liang Tong-Yi’s Mitsubishi Evo is as strong as ever, opening up a 4 seconds gap to the second placed driver on only lap 2, securing the class win with ease. Though CH6 class features a big battle for second place, Zhong Yuan-Qiang and Peng Jin-Jun drive similar A45 cars and the gap between them is just 0.327 second. But the latter is unable to turn the table around. In CH5 class, Zhong Bin, who has started off in CH1 class early in his career, takes victory. Behind him are Yang Fu-Sen and Tang Zhi-Wei.
CH-A、CH-B、CH-C classes are filled with M-series and C63 race cars. #200 R35 Li Chang-Xuan sets a 1:50.408 lap on lap 2 to top the timing screens. But on lap 4, #205 911 driver Yao Gui-Ping topples him with a 1:50.089. Mai Hai-Dong, also driving a R35, sets a 1:50.661 to be in the top 3.
