While the Chinese New Year atmosphere is still in the air, Zhuhai International Circuit is already busy preparing for the fast approaching 2018 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race.

As the first large scale motorsports event in the country this year, Pan Delta's imminent arrival has given the fans reasons to be full of anticipation.

Pan Delta's characteristics of exciting races and comprehensive ancillary services will of course return. In this new year, Pan Delta also has many changes. Let's see take a first look and see what surprises the brand new Pan Delta has in store for us.

Race format changes for more excitement

More focused, more fairness, more excitement and more entertainment, this is the aim of Pan Delta's format and regulation changes.

Since Pan Delta's inception, there has always been changes for the new year. The biggest adjusment comes in the classification of Circuit Hero-One and Two. Some of the turbo charged race cars in Circuit Hero-Two have been promoted to Circuit Hero-One. This re-classification means Circuit Hero-One will become the great gathering place of supercars that people dream about. At the same time the lap times of Circuit Hero-Two participants will be more even, thus both races will become more exciting.

Pan Delta Circuit Hero-Three has its very own unique race format among Pan Delta races. All race cars are 1600cc normally aspirated, the engines must be from the same brand and the entry threshold is lowered once again. It guarantees the race will be entertaining and encourages competition among drivers.

The races continue to evolve and the event have attracted more high level one make races to join. Pan Delta Spring Race will include Mini Asia Challenge, Asian Formula Renault Series and Renault Clio Asia Series. All of these series will kick off their 2018 season at Pan Delta. Their inclusion means an action packed timetable, some of the qualifying sessions will take place as early as Friday, demonstrating the popularity of Pan Delta.

One make tyres brings more fairness to race environment

Apart from changes in each class, the biggest change in the 2018 Circuit Hero series and Speed Hero series comes from the adoption of a single tyre supplier. The use of a single tyre supplier means closer racing among cars in the same class. All the changes together means the upcoming season will likely see closer racing.

New and old friends gathering at Commercial Area

On any motorsport platform, races require support and participation from sponsors. Commercial operations and die hard fans support create the unique Chinese motorsport platform that is Pan Delta.
