18 Mar 2018 Circuit Hero-One Race 2 Supercars had glittering performance and fierce battles across the board
After the fierce fighting in race 1 yesterday, 2018 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race Circuit Hero-One race 2 is held at 10:40 on 18 March.
On the front row are Julio Acosta in his Henghui Capital Racing #69 Lamborghini and Cai Hui-Bang's Go Kart Racing #4 Audi R8.
After the completion of the formation lap, the race began with a rolling start. Pole position starter Julio Acosta soon established an advantage. #99 David Chen of Shaanxi Tianshi Racing, starting from 19th position, was already up to fifth place after just one lap.
As the race progresses, Henghui Capital Racing's Julio Acosta continued to lead and he managed the best lap of the race 1:36.467. Shaanxi Tianshi Racing's #99 David Chen was by now up to third place and the gap between David Chen and second place Cai Hui-Bang continued to shrink. Finally David Chen managed to pass Cai Hui-Bang for second place overall on lap 6.
The race entered its final lap. Shaanxi Tianshi Racing #99 David Chen had brake problems and returned to the pits. The drivers behind him all moved up one place. In the end, Henghui Capital Racing's #69 Julio Acosta crossed the line to win the race, Go Kart Racing #4 Cai Hui-Bang finished second, Shaanxi Tianshi Racing #1 Liu Peng took third place.
After the race, Henghui Capital Racing's #69 Julio Acosta said he very much enjoyed the good atmosphere of Pan Delta Super Racing Festival, he will race here again if he gets the chance.
Go Kart Racing's two drivers both made it to the podium. Second overall and in class Cai Hui-Bang said both himself and the car were quite steady, but there was no chance to attack the leader. He expects some improvements for the next race. Class D winner #8 Lin Yi-Ming said he was on good physical form today, the other driver's brake problem allowed him to gain a position.
Both B1 and B2 classes are new additions in this year's Circuit Hero-One race. B1 class winner Chen Bing-Xiong said his car had tyre pressure problems yesterday, today his attention was on the tyres. The race was very smooth today. Foshan April Racing #36 Lu Qi-Feng won class B2. He said, "The nine cars in the class are very evenly matched. Today I pushed hard right from the start and I am very happy to have won."
Shaanxi Tianshi Racing #99 David Chen, who came from 19th position on the grid to second place in the race at one point, said, "In yesterday's race, an accident damaged the cooling for the brakes. When I got up to second place today the brakes were no longer sufficient, I had to return to the pits for adjustments and then I could only finish the race slowly. I am very happy to still finish second in class."
Class E winner CER Ducati HK #72 Yuan Er-Bin said, "I came to see the last Pan Delta events. It felt like fun and safe. The race organizers were fair and right. My participation this time was mainly to learn and enjoy the race. Of course I am still very happy to have won!"
