In the afternoon of 13 September, Guangdong province is still as hot as the height of summer. The sun above Zhuhai International Circuit releases its heat and energy unreservedly. For the Circuit Hero qualifying session held in the afternoon, Tianshi Racing #99 David Chen takes pole position with a 1:32.735 fastest lap. Zun Motorsport Crew #77 Ma Ka-Chun is 1.202 seconds behind in second place and will start on the front row.

In the qualifying session in the afternoon, there were many incidents but nothing serious. At the challenging turn 4, many drivers had their results cancelled due to driving over track limits. After just 4 laps, Zun Motorsport Crew’s Ma Ka-Chun and Adderly Fong emerge at the top of the timing screens. Ma Ka-Chun set a fastest lap of 1:33.937 on lap 4, while his teammate Adderly Fong did a 1:35.911 on lap 2. #99 David Chen from Tianshi Racing has upgraded his race car to a 2019 Audi R8 LMS Evo and moved from Supercar C class to Supercar A class. In the end, Tianshi Racing’s #99 David Chen takes pole position. Zun Motorsport Crew’s #77 Ma Ka-Chun is in second position, teammate #38 Adderly Fong is 3.176 seconds behind in third place. Another Zun Motorsport Crew driver, #7 Lin Yi-Ming, Grid Motorsport’s #63 Steven Bei and #2 Michael Choi are 4th, 5th and 6th.
