17 Mar 2018 Circuit Hero-Three qualifying: Huang Zhi-Hang/Xie Jia-Xing takes pole position

On 17 March Saturday, 2018 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race Circuit Hero-Three qualifying session begins at 10:30.

After the development of the 2017 racing season, Circuit Hero-Three, the entry level Circuit Hero race series, attracted many new teams to join. Apart from professional race teams, media and internet stars have also joined in.

In qualifying, A2 class Great Drive-CE Racing #15 managed 2:01.261, but the fastest lap overall was taken by Yan Yu-Peng/Zeng Ying-Zhuo #17 machine with a sub 2 minutes lap. On the next lap the pair went even quicker and managed 1:58.979.

After half the session is completed, A1 Huang Zhi-Hang/Xie Jia-Xing drove their #7 to a sub 2 minutes result, taking second place with a 1:59.673. On lap 7, Huang Zhi-Hang/Xie Jia-Xing further improved to 1:58.953 and took over pole position. Second and third places went to A1 class #17 Yan Yu-Peng/Zeng Ying-Zhuo and A2 class #71 Zhuang Zhi-Jun/Tan Yun.

Second in A2 class and fourth overall, PetroCanada Star Cars Racing driver Hu Jia-Xin said, "Actually we could have gone faster, but the team wants to protect the race car so we did not push to the limit. The car is in good condition and hopefully we can fight for the win in the race."
