On 22 March Friday, Pan Delta Super Racing Festival is on the second day of the event. The most civilian Circuit Hero-Three race will host its first qualifying session this afternoon. #22 TPR Racing Wu Wen Fa/Denise Yeung takes provisional pole position with a best lap of 1:59.355.
This year’s Circuit Hero-Three is more fair, all entries must use 1,600cc normally aspirated engines that are by the same manufacturer of the race car. Not only does the move lowered the entry threshold, it also increases competition and makes the race a bigger spectacle. In the 15 minutes qualifying session today, the fastest driving pair will gain the pole position for the main race.
At the start of qualifying, TPR Racing Wu Wen-Fa/Denise Yeung sets a 2:00.293 lap and takes the lead. He Wei-Hang/Zeng Xian-Xi are second, 0.245 second behind.
At half distance, race cars begin to slide off the circuit, causing yellow flags to be waved. The race cars are able to re-join the circuit.
In the end, TPR Racing #22 Wu Wen-Fa/Denise Yeung maintain their advantage. #36 PetroCanada Star Chase Racing Lei Jun-Bin/Fan Sheng-Sheng finishes second, #76 Tan Yun/Wu Hao finish third with #77 Ryan Kuang/Lu Jia-Le are fourth.
Tomorrow 23rd March, Circuit Hero-Three will hold its second qualifying session, the two qualifying session results will then be combined to form the starting grid for the main race.
