18 Mar 2018 Circuit Hero-Drift racers danced on the track

Circuit Hero-Drift has always been the most exciting and eye-catching races of Pan Delta. On the main straight of Zhuhai International Circuit, with 20,000 spectators in the grandstands, two drift race cars one after the other performing very similar manuevres. The way they raced around the cones were like a waltz performance. The two race cars take turns to be the leading car and the judge will determine who the winner is by their performance. The winner will progress to the next round. You have to be on site to experience the true attractiveness of the event.

In the qualifying race yesterday, winner James Tang and his fellow Hong Kong Chinese driver #26 Li Xiao-Lan were paired together for today's race. James Tang chased closely right off, the two cars almost went through the corner at the end of the straight side-by-side, with lots of blue smoke coming out from the back. But as they return the cars clashed, debris flew off but it did not affect the race. On the next round James Tang gave chase and he was on good form, pulling away from Li Xiao-Lan after a few high speed drifts.

Star Japanese driver Orido Manabu came on next. His opponent is Hong Kong Chinese driver Hu Hao-Lin. Orido Manabu driving his repaired BMW 1M race car quickly, it seems the turbo problem yesterday is no longer affecting the machine. He easily drift past the cones and showing off his amazing ability.

The second round begins, James Tang vs Orido Manabu. The race entered its finale. The two race cars drifted on the track, running nose to tail, their moves drew grasps from the crowd. Then Hu Hao-Lin and Li Xiao-Lan appeared on track again. A battle between two Hong Kong Chinese drivers. Hu Hao-Lin showed his ability on the edge of control and received praise from the spectators. In the end Orido Manabu won the race with James Tang in second place and Li Xiao-Lan took third place.

The race is over but the smoke had yet to clear. The drivers appeared again as the spectators applaused. They began performing fun moves, circulating the cones and soon the track is full of smells of burning rubber again. The spectators applaused and at the same time felt amazed by the drivers' skills.

James Tang is very much encouraged by this performance. He said said in June he will invite Orido Manabu and other international drivers to the event and perform once again. Hopefully it will be an even bigger and more spectacular show.
