17 Jun 2018 If there is an Oscar for motorsport, then Drift steeple chase will deserve it | Circuit Hero-Drift Steeple Chase
Without a doubt, every time Circuit Hero-Drift is on track, the grandstand is filled with spectators cheering from begin to end. People get excited every time a race car performs a drift maneuver. Not to mention when two cars are on track at the same time, chasing each other. On the one hand, the exciting scenes are hugely attractive, on the other hand, performing the same maneuver at the same time is a huge challenge to the drivers. As everyone understand the difficulty, they pay huge attention to the race. The screaming engines and tyre smoke simply add to the spectacle.
At 12:00 p.m. on 17 June, Circuit Hero-Drift steeple chase officially begins. #318 Timmy Woo and #88 Japanese driver Orido Manabu are first to duel. The two drivers drift close to each other and the spectators give loud applauses. Next up are #68 James Tang and #17 Italian driver Federico Sceriffo. They drift around the cones beautifully, demonstrating great skill. Orido Manabu was at Pan Delta Spring Race in March and he is even more familiar and confident with Circuit Hero-Drift now. There are more spectators in the grandstand now, everybody trying to get a good look at the race. But both James Tang and Orido Manabu make some mistakes this time, fortunately their cars did not crash into each other. At the end of the races, the drivers perform some donuts on track for the fans before calling it a day. The crowd stand up and applaud the drivers.
In the end, #88 Orido Manabu is declared as the winner of the Circuit Hero-Drift steeple chase. #68 James Tang finish second and #318 Timmy Woo is third. #88 Orido Manabu said, “My form was very good, the BMW 1M has very good performance. I am very satisfied with the result.” James Tang said, “Although there were fewer entries in this race, the overall standard was still very high. My Toyota Altezza has a slight problem in the gear changing. The gear change was not very smooth. Fortunately I had it fixed very quickly. Today overall my performance was okay, I look forward to performing better in the next race.”
