27 Jun 2020 Ma Sai takes double win in ZIC Superbike Race
On 27 June, ZIC Superbike Race welcomes two round of races, The riders perform fantastically and the races were full of excitement. In the end, Shi Zhao Racing #21 Ma Sai tooks both race wins with a comfortable advantage and became the big winner of the race weekend.
ZIC Superbike Race
Race 1
The first race is held at 12:00 at noon. It is a 10 lap race. After the warm up lap, #2 Yuan Ji-Bo, who starts second on the grid, has to retire from the race for a mechanical issue. At the start, #21 Ma Sai gets away well and takes the lead. #22 Sha Jun-Tong overtakes #122 Huang Yan-Jia for second place overall at T1.
On lap 3, #31 loses control and goes off track at T3. The marshals show the yellow flag but the race can continue. By now #21 Ma Sai is already 15 seconds to the good. In the other classes, #22 Sha Jun-Tong is ahead in the CL2 class; in CL1 class #79 Li Hai-Bo successfully passes Yu Yao-Long for second place; in CL3 class, Li Fei is going faster and faster and is more than 5 seconds ahead of second place in class.
On the last lap, there is no change in the order. #12 Zhang Qian-Ying goes too fast at T10 and runs into the gravel trap. But the other riders are able to complete the race. In the end, #21 Ma Sai takes the win in race 1. Overall second and third places go to Tianshi Kawasaki Racing #22 Sha Jun-Tong and Shi Zhao Racing #122 Huang Yan-Jia.
In the various classes, Open class has two retirements, the first two are #21 Ma Sai and #122 Huang Yan-Jia; CL1 class top 3 are #17 Lin Zhi-Fei, #79 Li Hai-Bo and #68 Yu Yao-Long; CL2 class top 3 are #22 Sha Jun-Tong, #19 Chen Hong-Yan and #120 Olivia Jia; CL3 top 3 are #23 Li Fei, #911 Jia Rui and #39 Chen Yu-Feng.
Race 2
Race 2 begins at 15:33 in the afternoon. Pole position starter is #21 Ma Sai does not make a great start yet he maintains his lead. Soon he extends his advantage. On lap 3, #21 Ma Sai sets a 1:36.530 lap record for the day. #2 Yuan Ji-Bo, starting from last position, is already up to third place. Then #31 loses control at T11 and the marshals show the yellow flag. The race continues.
On lap 5, #2 Yuan Ji-Bo and #22 Sha Jun-Tong begin to fight for second overall. #2 Yuan Ji-Bo uses his more powerful machine to pass #22 Sha Jun-Tong on the main straight. The other positions remain unchanged. #17 Lin Zhi-Fei is top of CL1 class; #23 Li Fei is also performing well and is nearly 11 seconds ahead of CL3's second placed rider.
On the last lap, the overall winner is clear to see. All the other classes have maintained order. In the end, Shi Zhao Racing #21 Ma Sai sets a new lap record and takes race 2 victory, Tianshi Kawasaki Racing #2 Yuan Ji-Bo and #22 Sha Jun-Tong finish second and third.

After the race, double race winner Ma Sai said, "The new BMW race bike is really good. But it has not reached its full potential yet, next year's Pan Delta Speed Hero race, the race bike will have gone through more adjustments, I believe it will perform even better." First time participant Li Fei, who took two wins in CL3 class, said, "I am really happy to take two wins this time. Overall I performed normally and I will try to improve my level. Hopefully I can race in Pan Delta in the future."
