08 Sep 2011 2011 China Superbike Championship (CSBK) Shanghai Round Race 2 Post Race Press Conference
SS600cc class
Winner: Xiao Jin (Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing)
Thanks to all the media. Today is so hot and all of you insist on staying here to take our pictures. Thanks to the team and all members of the team. This afternoon's race, it wasn't as good as I imagined it would be at the start, I was only able to follow Shi-Zhao and Zhi-Yu. On about lap 4 or 5, I passed Huang Zhi-Yu but I could not defend well and I lost the place again. I was looking for a chance to overtake them, when on lap 9 or 10, they hit each other. To be able to win today personally I am not very happy because the two strongest riders have fallen off. I hope I can win by my real strength and speed in the next race.
1st Runner's Up: Li Peng-Yu (Tianyu DTU Racing)
I am very happy to be here again. In the last round I also finished in the top 3. Today I had a big problem in the second race, when my clutch did not function well. I dropped to sixth or seventh because of that. In the middle of the race I slowly caught up and passed the riders who passed me at the start. With about 10 laps to go, I discovered my teammate's bike and Huang Shi-Zhao's bike parked by the side of the track. When I returned to the pits then I learned that Huang Zhi-Yu's bike's engine stalled on him and he was hit by Huang Shi-Zhao. So I am very lucky to finish second today. I hope my luck improves even more in Zhuhai.
2nd Runner's Up: Guan Ying-Hao (Xujia Flooring Shi Zhao Racing)
Thanks to Xujia Flooring Shi-Zhao Racing. This is our first race in the CSBK and we achieved this result, we are very happy. I also have to thank Hong Kong's Man Lee Tat Company, Yamaha helped me a lot to enable me to continue racing. In today's race I made a good start, so I was able to run in front of Li Peng-Yu, but after ten laps or so my fitness was not good and he passed me. I could not re-pass him and that's it.
150cc Open class
Winner: Chen Xiao-Lei (Young Cubs Racing)
To dominate the top 3 in this race is expected, because our team made a lot of preparations before the race, including the bikes, the riders' fitness and track training. We haven't had much time with the bikes before but now it is different. We have become more and more consistent. In the second race I did not push too hard because the important thing was to take all the podium places. Once again thanks to Young Cubs Racing, Wuyang-Honda and the engineering team.
1st Runner's Up: Zhou Sheng Jun-Jie (Young Cubs Racing)
I have nothing much to say about this race. I want to dedicate this result to my grandfather who died two days ago.
2nd Runner's Up: Chen Yuan-Hang (Young Cubs Racing)
Today I did not go out in time from the pits by 5 seconds so I had to start from the pits for race 1. In race 2 I could start with the field thanks to my mechanics and the two Malaysian mechanics. To be able to achieve this good result, I feel I must thank our support team.
