06 May 2011 2011 CSBK Zhuhai Opening Round Riders’ Interview (2)
From 6th to 8th May, 2011 China Superbike Championship (CSBK) Opening Round will be held at the Audi Zhuhai International Circuit. In the 600cc class, it will again be a battle between Yes! Yamaha Tianjina Racing and Tianyu DTU Racing. In the 150cc class, Wuyang-Honda, Loncin and SYM of Taiwan have joined in. The Opening Round is coming up soon and let’s see how the riders are preparing.
150cc Class
Qiu Ming-Xian (SYM Jiguang Racing)
Hello everybody, I am Qiu Ming-Xian from Chinese Taipei. Recently, the team and I have been preparing in Chinese Taipei, but over there there is no facility as big as Zhuhai and we couldn’t carry out tests as thoroughly as we would like for our new bikes. We only did simple shakedown tests. But still we felt the bike was better than last year. I hope my form this year is as good as last year and I can focus as well as last year.
Zhou Hang-Kai (SYM Jiguang Racing)
Hello everybody, I am SYM Jiguang Racing’s Zhou Hang-Kai, I am from Chinese Taipei. This year I am very honoured to work with SYM to establish this 150cc team. Hopefully we will get some good results. Our bike’s testing was mainly carried out in Chinese Taipei, but there is no big facility like this, so the tests were inconclusive. Still the tests results were good. For this year, I hope to perform better than I did in 2009. Of course I hope to challenge the 2010 champion, my team leader Qiu Ming-Xian.
Wang Yi-Fan (Panyu Cruiser Racing)
Hello everybody, I am Wang Yi-Fan and I am from Beijing. For this CSBK race, it is the first time I have come to Zhuhai International Circuit. I have never raced in such a big race before. I have not much experience. For the past few years I have been paying attention to CSBK, the top level motorcycle championship in China. Two years ago I met Li Peng-Yu and Huang Zhi-Yu by chance and I told them my thoughts about turning professional. From then on they have been very supportive, including providing training physically and technically. They also let me have some exchanges and learning opportunities with the mechanics. I learned a lot from them. To be here for this race I don’t feel a lot of pressure, I just want to learn from the experienced riders. Of course I hope to perform well.
Wu Jie (Panyu Cruiser Racing)
Hello everybody, I am Wu Jie. In 2009 I had taken part in CSBK races. First of all I have to thank my boss Li Peng-Yu, he is also a 600cc rider this year, because he gave me this chance to race in 150 class. I have practiced in Beijing before and I don’t feel much pressure. Just trying to do my best.
Zhou Sheng Jun-Jie (Young Cubs Racing)
Hello everybody, I am Zhou Sheng Jun-Jie and I am 12 this year. I come from Guiding, Guizhou. I am taking part in the 150cc class. I have been practicing in Guiding before this and I felt quite good. I hope this year I can run as fast as my two older rivals (Chen Peng-Yuan and Chen Yuan-Hang). They have both finished on the podium last year, I want to get on the podium, too. At least I want to follow them closely and not get left behind.
