From 6th to 8th May, 2011 China Superbike Championship Opening Round will be held at Audi Zhuhai International Circuit. In the last 4 seasons, CSBK has grown with Chinese motorsports, nurturing motorsports talents and achieving great success in its business development.

As the top level motorcycle race championship in China, CSBK has always set itself the target of enhancing national motorsport levels. The championship has not only nurtured riders like Xiao Jin and youngster Chen Peng-Yuan, veterans Huang Shi-Zhao and Huang Zhi-Yu have also managed to move into the area of team and rider management, helping talented people to continue their development.

In addition, on the business front, CSBK has raced ahead of other motorcycle races. With meticulous organization and professional competition, in the last few years, CSBK received sponsorships from Tongyi Iced Tea, Red Bull, Yulin Pharmaceutical, Bridgestone...etc. Top level national motorcycle manufacturers have also participated enthusiastically, making the championship a showcase for their products.

SS600cc: Battle between Tianjian and Tianyu

In the 2010 season’s 600cc class, Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing took home both the teams’ and riders’ titles. This year the team has made adjustments to its lineup and will feature the master and pupil pairing of Huang Shi-Zhao and Xiao Jin.

Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing:

Super Dad Huang Shi-Zhao wants to give the winner’s trophy to his son

This is an extraordinary year for veteran Huang Shi-Zhao. Not only will he be entering the 2011 CSBK as the defending champion, he also became a proud father in March, becoming a dad. Success in both professional and personal lives have turned him into a very happy man. In talking about the new season, he is full of confidence.

Huang Shi-Zhao states that his target for this season obviously is to defend his title. The team conducted a test about 10 days ago to make sure everything is perfect. He is now more motivated than ever and he will aim to win the first race and bring home the trophy for his baby son.
Xiao Jin aims to overcome his master

Losing in the last 4 rounds (8 races), Xiao Jin saw clearly the gap between himself and his master. The double CSBK 600cc vice champion states that in the new season his target is to challenge his master and try to convert his silver medal into gold.

Finishing second overall two years in a row has been disappointing for Xiao Jin. But even more than that is the withdrawal of Zongshen Racing. Xiao Jin said that in the last few years he has always wanted to beat Zongshen. Winning the final race of the 2009 season has given him hope. But Zongshen’s withdrawal last year has disappointed him, with the current state of motorsports, Xiao Jin has thought about leaving the sport. This year maybe his last in CSBK.

Tianyu DTU Racing: Hoping to challenge for the title

As the biggest competitor for Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing, Tianyu DTU Racing’s new season will still feature the rider pairing of Huang Zhi-Yu and Li Peng-Yu. Both are experienced riders and with data gathered from last year’s Yamaha R6, they will not settle for the places behind Tianjian.

As Yamaha has reduced its team from 3 riders to 2, Huang Zhi-Yu said in the new season their chances of reaching the podium has increased and might be able to challenge for victory at some rounds.

150cc Open: The best Chinese motorbikes are here

After careful nurturing in the last few years, the 150cc Open class has since become the class that receives the most number of entries and attention from motorbike manufacturers. This is the class that closely link up the product with the race machines, providing a platform for the various manufacturers to showcase the technology and performance of their bikes. In the new season, Wuyang-Honda, Loncin, SYM of Taiwan have all joined in.

Loncin Dexi Racing: Golden Champagne winner gives helping hand

In the past Loncin has taken part in 150cc class before, but only as a motorbike supplier. For 2011, Loncin has formed its own team with its very own GP150 model as the race machine to take part in the 150cc Open class. According to team manager Huang Shi-Zhao, in the new season Loncin Dexi Racing will field last year’s 2011 Chinese motorcycle sports Golden Champagne prize winner Chen Peng-Yuan, in order to achieve good results. At the moment, the team is in the final stage of its modifying its bikes, trying to get the bikes ready for a test at Audi ZIC.

SYM Jiguang Racing: Strong rider lineup

Huang Zhi-Yu, who has suffered in the last few years with sponsorships, finally managed to get Chinese Taipei’s SYM to be his sponsor in the 150cc class. He has since formed SYM Jiguang Racing. According to Huang Zhi-Yu, the funds for the team is provided by Chinese Taipei’s SYM while the bikes are from national manufacturer Xiaxing. The model is the latest T1 and its under-going its final tests in Panyu. After the tests comparisons, he thinks the T1’s performance is outstanding, its horsepower will be 1 hp more than last year’s XGJ F5. In addition, in order to defend the crown that the team has worn for two years, Huang Zhi-Yu will continue to use the rider pairing of Qiu Ming-Xian and Qiu Shi-Yi, in addition to 2009 champion Zhou Hang-Kai, to setup a truly championship winning team.

Young Cubs Racing: 4 types of Wuyang-Honda raring to go

In the closing round last year, Wuyang-Honda 150’s brief appearance got everyone wondering if they would participate this year. In the new season, Wuyang-Honda has teamed up with Wang Xi-Ri, an experienced race rider, to form Young Cubs Racing, using 3 RR150 and 1 Xinfengyi. The thirst for victory is clear. Wang Xi-Ri said the team will employ the quartet of Chen Xiao-Lei, Wang Xiao-Yuan, Chen Peng-Yuan and Zhou Sheng Jun-Jie as riders. The performance of the RR and Xinfengyi will be their greatest strength.
