05 May 2011 2011 China Superbike Championship Zhuhai Opening Round Riders’ Interviews (1)

From 6th to 8th May, 2011 China Superbike Championship (CSBK) Opening Round will be held at the Audi Zhuhai International Circuit. In the 600cc class, it will again be a battle between Yes! Yamaha Tianjina Racing and Tianyu DTU Racing. In the 150cc class, Wuyang-Honda, Loncin and SYM of Chinese Taipei have joined in. The Opening Round is coming up soon and lets see how the riders are preparing.

 

600CC class
Huang Shi-Zhao (Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing)

Hello everyone, I am Huang Shi-Zhao, Yes! Yamaha’s rider. Last week we practiced for two days at Audi Zhuhai International Circuit in order to prepare for the race. We made some adjustments but unfortunately there was some rain, but it wasn’t too bad. It also gave us a chance to prepare for rain. For this season, I am the same as the other riders, we all want to win. This is every rider’s ultimate wish. For my own team, there are two new members this year, one is the 14 years old Chen Peng-Yuan and the other is Cai Zheng-You from Taiwan. They have done many races before and had some good results, but they still lack some big race experiences and will need to train and improve.

Li Peng-Yu (Tianyu DTU Racing)

Hello everyone, I am Tianyu DTU Racing’s 600cc rider Li Peng-Yu. I am from Beijing. This is my fifth year racing in the CSBK. This year our preparation is better than previous years. Today is Wednesday and our tester is doing some adjustment and run-in for our engines. Hopefully this weekend the weather will improve. For this year’s 600cc championship, our biggest rival is Yes! Yamaha Racing. They have Huang Shi-Zhao and Xiao Jin, both are very good riders. We hope we will have some good luck this year and can fight for the title.

Huang Zhi-Yu (Tianyu DTU Racing)

Hello everybody, I am Tianyu DTU Racing’s Huang Zhi-Yu, taking part in the CSBK 600cc. Because I have been busy recently with the 150cc class bikes’ modifications, I haven’t done much training myself. My bike has just gone through some superficial changes and nothing else. But according to last year’s condition, it shouldn’t be a big problem. I hope this year we can finish all the races. As for my own team, I hope we can defend our second place, as for the championship, we will see how our luck goes. 

150CC
Qiu Shi-Yi (SYM Jiguang Racing)

Hello everyone, I am Qiu Shi-yi from Chinese Taipei. Starting with this season, I go jogging and swimming to maintain my fitness levels. As for my bike, this year we have the new one and I feel the engine and the rest are good, very good. I believe our performance will be better than last year. I hope to get on the podium every race. 

Chen Peng-Yuan (Loncin Dexi Racing)

Hello everyone, I am Chen Peng-Yuan, I am 14 this year. I am from Guiding, Guizhou. Before coming to Zhuhai, everyday after school I would go to our track there to jog or play ball, in order to improve my fitness. Since coming to Zhuhai, my trainer arranged for me to train at other teams. I have just joined Shi Zhao’s team and we are working well together. This year’s target is to score more points for the team. 

Cai Zheng-You (Loncin Dexi Racing)

Hello everyone, I am Cai Zheng-You from Chinese Taipei. This is the first time I take part in CSBK. Before this I have done some motorcycle races in Chinese Taipei. I hope I can bring my experience over with me and be able to adjust quickly. I have made a lot of preparations and I hope I can perform as best I can. There are three riders here from Chinese Taipei and they are very good. I hope to follow in their footsteps and run at the front!
