SS600cc class winner
Huang Shi-Zhao YES! Yamaha Tianjian Racing
From I was injured in 2007, to winning the 600cc title this year, I feel really really happy. Here I would like to thank my team and my mechanics. Yes! Yamaha gave me great support and everything is very well co-ordinated. I have worked very hard on my communications with the team and my own fitness training, in order to win this year’s title. At the start I was a little nervous, but soon I committed myself in the race. Thanks.
SS600cc class 1st runner’s up
Zhang Wei-An YES! Yamaha Tianjian Racing
Hello everyone. First of all I would like to congratulate Yes! Yamaha Tianjian Racing because the team is the big winner of the year. Also I would like to congratulate Huang Shi-Zhao on winning the riders’ title. About this race, when I arrived in Zhuhai my performance and form were not so good, since I haven’t raced or trained for two months. But I still managed to take fourth place in qualifying. I am under a little bit of pressure for this race as I was only 4 points ahead of Huang Zhi-Yu. So I must force myself to work hard. At the start I was fourth and when I saw Huang Zhi-Yu take the lead, I got under pressure, but I did not give up, then I passed my teammate Xiao Jin and soon got close to Huang Zhi-Yu. In the process, I felt I performed very well, so to finish second I feel very happy.
SS600cc 2nd runner’s up
Huang Zhi-Yu Tianyu DTU Racing
Actually in the race 1 just now, I made a new attempt on the bike setup, I changed to a slightly heavier differential. From the start I jumped to the front at the first corner. In my mind I thought I would be passed in two or three laps, because Yamaha is too strong at Zhuhai. This third place is a gift. Anyway I am very happy today, my team took the overall title in the 150cc class and I have a trophy against the mighty Yamaha. I feel really glad. (Will you be able to take third place overall against Zhang Wei-An?) I think the chances are slim. It is not zero but if everyone perform normally, it will not be easy to overcome the 8 points gap. (Why were you passed by Zhang Wei-An and Xiao Jin at the same time?) During that moment, Zhang Wei-An just passed and I was in third place. At the end of the main straight, at turn 1, I tried to late brake and get closer to Zhang Wei-An, but because I braked too late, the rear wheel came around, I tried my best to save it and I was really lucky I managed to keep it altogether.
GP125cc A winner
Zhang Hai-Long Lingken Racing
Hello everyone. In the first race today, at the start I made it to third place. For this race I used new tyres. In the first stage the tyres are a little slippery, but nearer the end it was quite good, allowing me to pass the two riders ahead of me. (Now you lead the riders’ championship.) In tomorrow’s race, I will try my best to fight at the front, I will be happy to follow the leaders, so long that I got my position.
GP125cc A 1st runner’s up
Hu Zhao-Neng Maxinger Racing
Today at the start I have been quick, but Zeng Jian-Hang was just too quick and he stormed to the front. Then He Zi-Xian came up. I have been thinking He Zi-Xian was using the same bike then later on I felt how come his bike was slower? Then I realized he was racing an original production bike. I beat him purely because my bike was faster only.
GP125cc A 2nd runner’s up
He Zi-Xian Kinlon Shenli Racing
When I started practice, the bike had an engine problem and I fell off, bruising my right wrist. Therefore today actually I did not harbor any hopes of finishing in the top 3. But I just raced on trying to get as many points as I could. Very unfortunately this morning my bike had another enginer problem, therefore I can only use the spare bike. The spare is slower and it was not setup properly, so it was really hard to set a good time. I know what the score is so finishing and getting points is a very good result already. I hope tomorrow we can fix the bike then we can have a real go at it.
GP125cc B winner
Liang Yu-Xi Yongkee Majiri Racing
I felt very lucky today, my mechanic tuned my bike up very well, maybe other riders did not perform to their best, so I could win this race. I feel very happy.
GP125cc B 1st runner’s up
Mao Rui-Bin Yongkee Majiri Racing
Hello everyone. First of all I am very happy to be on the podium. This is the first trophy since I joined CSBK. But today I had some troubles with the race. At the start, because my bike was not setup well, also I was feeling a bit nervous, so I made a terrible start. Then in the race I slowly caught up and finally finished second. I am very happy. Thanks to my team and the mechanics. Also thanks to everyone who have supported or helped me.
GP125cc B 2nd runner’s up
Ro Jian-Qing Chongqing Yuan XGJ Racing
First, in the qualifying session this morning my teammate Sun Nan broke his hand and retired. Our team manager did not want me to try too hard so he set a limit on my bike’s power. So I am very lucky to finish third. Hopefully tomorrow my team manager will take the limit away and allow me to race properly.
150cc Open class winner
Qiu Ming-Xian Tianyu DTU Racing
In today’s race, my team asked us to just finish the race and get some points. At the start, the first few laps were quite confusing. I was worried we would crash, so we raced quite conservatively. Slowly I discovered I could go faster and I charged after the leader. Finally I passed my teammate. After that everything was smooth and we finished the race.
150cc Open class 1st runner’s up
Qiu Shi-Yi Tianyu DTU Racing
First of all I would like to congratulate my teammate on winning the rider’s championship. Today even though I started on pole position, the race went downhill after the start. I slipped down the order to fourth place. After a few corners I had the chance to get back in front, so I started making moves. After leading a few laps, my teammate got closer and closer and I could not resist him. In the end he took the lead. At the corner I missed a gear and fell back, behind Zhai Zi-Yang and Bi Jian-Bin. We fought with each other. Fortunately at turn 11 I pulled out a small gap and that was it. Actually I had an accident at turn 14 in the morning practice, that affected my performance today. Thanks to the team and all the partners, mechanics for fixing the bike. In tomorrow’s race I hope to get back to normal, take a good finish and take second place overall for the team.
150cc Open class 2nd runner’s up
Zhai Zi-Yang S&S Racing Team
First I would like to congratulate Qiu Ming-Xian for winning the title. Today I helped my team to get some points and I feel satisfied. In qualifying I did not ride very well. After my fall in Shanghai I have not been very consistent. My qualifying result was not good, but thanks to my mechanics and my team manager for improving the setup on my bike. I changed to a better tyre and I feel it is a much better tyre, allowing me to ride faster. Although I finished third and should be happy, I am not happy with my inconsistency. I hope tomorrow I can ride faster and more consistent.
