From 2005 to 2015, after a 11 years journey, 2015 Pan Delta AutumnRace will be held on 19 to 20 September at Zhuhai International Circuit. This is the final race of the season and will see drivers and riders battle for championship honours.
2015 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Autumn Race welcomes another decisive moment. China's motorsport history book, beginning with the Hong Kong - Beijing Rally 30 years ago, is not very long. In the 30 years, formula cars, touring cars, karts, circuit racing, rallying, rallycross have all come to the country, but rarely is there a race event that can truly stand on its own two feet based on its own commercial ability. Even for imported international races, although each one is highly anticipated, none has managed to stand on its own and receive approval from the Chinese crowd. But Pan Delta has made it. Even during the Asian financial tsunami, the race has gone on.
Over the past 11 years, Pan Delta has always kept its head up, spending time and effort to nurture the Chinese motorsport market. There were ups and downs but Pan Delta has always kept going. Pan Delta has enriched its race programme over time. In the past, it had to make a big promotional effort to attract a crowd, today, due to security measures, it has to control its crowd figures. From inviting drivers and races to join to becoming the most successful modified cars gathering. Pan Delta has gone through a lot of tough times. But it has never wavered in its concept: providing exciting races for the fans.
Championship battle
As the final race of the season, ZIC Superbike, Circuit Hero, Red Bull Drift Battle are all bringing on their championship battle. ZIC Superbike has attracted many riders entry, on top of that, motorcycle brands like Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, BMW, EBR and Suzuki have also entered the race. Its attractiveness is unquestionable. In CL1 class, Li Zheng-Peng leads with 80 points with teammate Huang Shi-Zhao second on 61 points. Australian former WSBK rider Mark Aitchison is third with 50 points. Back in June Mark Aitchison took two wins. Will he be able to overtake Li and Huang in the championship tables? This race is going to be very interesting.
After an adjustment in the Circuit Hero regulations, the entries have kept coming in. The entry figures have reached another new high for September. In the autumn race, Circuit Hero One continues to shine. There will be a Ferrari 458 entering the Open B fray, taking on the D2 Racing duo of Guo Guo-Xin and Huang Xi-Zhan. In addition there will be 3 Lotus race cars, adding more fuel to the fire. In Open A class, Tommy Chan will drive a Juno prototype, taking the battle to the unbeaten Jon Flinn.
In Circuit Hero Two, the grassroot stage for local race heroes, two Hong Kong drivers Zhong Yong-Qiang and Yang Chuan-Sheng have joined in, making the race battle even more fierce. Zhong is a upcoming Hong Kong driver while Yang has many years experience. All class championships in the race are up fro graps, especially in A2 class, where #19 Gao Wei-Han leads #81 Huang Bin by just 1 point.
Expectations of news friends
Asia Talent Cup once again graces the Pan Delta platform. The series, established in 2014, is a platform for talented, young, Asian motorcycle talent to showcase their skills and also a pathway towards world class motorcycle racing. In Zhuhai, 22 riders from various Asian countries or regions will be competing for top honours. Chinsese representatives Zhou Sheng Jun-Jie and Chen Yuan-Hang need your support!
Red Bull Drift Battle once again have something new to show. The Steeple-chase will replace all the obstacles with boxes of different heights. Drivers must drive through the obstacles and hit a box that's just 1.5m away from the retaining wall. This change may not look like much but it is a big test on the driver's courage and skill. For this race, the regulars: Naoto Suenaga, Nobushige Kumakubo, Saori Ishikawa, Federico Sceriffo, Jake Jones, James Tang will be joined by another experienced drifter, Indonesian Emmauelle Amadio. How will everyone perform with this exciting new addition? Come and see for yourself.
Golden Autumn entertainment
For the well versed Pan Delta fan, they know that entertainment and service go hand in hand with the race event. The spectators can watch formula cars, touring cars and motorbikes on the same race weekend. There are also Geely and Yamaha product displays. The Red Bull show area will once again carry many prizes for the fans. Just buy 3 cans of Red Bull and you can experience the Red Bull spinning race car once. On both Saturday and Sunday, there will be a total of five driver/rider autograph sessions, allowing you to meet your favourite driver/rider. During Pan Delta, the kart circuit is open to the public, you may purchase your group ticket on www.dianping.com and enjoy a kart drive at a lower than usual price. On top of these activities, over 30 food and beverage stalls are on hand to keep you and your family energetic for the day. There is even a bouncy castle for the little ones!
On 20 Sep, after the noise of all the races have died down, the 2015 Mini Southern District Circuit Night and the 11th Pan Delta prize-giving ceremony will be held under the stars, with a music and dance extravaganza. Jay Chou's official DJ will be on hand to interact with you!
