16 Jun 2015 Special race on special date - 2015 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Summer Race set to commence

The 2015  Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Summer Race is being held on a very special date, 20-21 June, which coincides not just with the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in China, but also Father's Day in western culture. Pan Delta has specially prepared a rich motorsport feast to commemorate the great poet Qu Yuan as well as all the great fathers of the world.

For most Pan Delta fans, the upcoming race weekend is surely a motorsport feast. Apart from the traditional Circuit Hero, ZIC Superbike and Red Bull Drift Battle, Clio Cup China and Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, representing the highest level of sportscar racing, will also be on track.  Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific not only bring along the great looking supercars, but also top level Asian drivers. The battle will be immense. If you want to see a group of powerful Ferrari race cars battling it out, then don't miss the Pan Delta Summer race.

For the fans Pan Delta is amazing. For the drivers, this race maybe a little daunting. Since the March 2015 event, when the organizers upgraded Circuit Hero Two, ZIC Superbike's qualifying has been modified also.  As the highest level of motorcycle racing in China, ZIC Superbike is hugely popular among riders and the entry numbers have continued to rise. In order to ensure maximum safety and fairness for all participants, all riders must be able to produce a qualifying lap that is within 115% of the pole position winner, in order to start the race. Back in March, American Cory West, Li Zheng-Peng, Huang Shi-Zhao and Dan Kruger fought a great battle. In June, former WSBK rider Mark Aitchison will take over Cory West's EBR machine, will he be able to repeat Cory West's successes?

The most fan friendly Circuit Hero Two race has attracted even more participants since the change in 2015. Fans now see over 100 drivers have to fight for the 40 precious starting positions. Many drivers will probably have to go through a thrilling qualifying process before entering the races. But this will also mean that all racers are quick and suitably qualified, enhancing the standards of the race.

The highly entertaining Red Bull Drift Battle introduced the Steeple Chase format for Saturdays in 2015. This has proved to be immensely popular with the fans. In June, female Japanese drift racer Saori Ishikawa will once again take part in the battle, after missing the 2014 season. Apart from her, James Tang, Federico Sceriffo, Naoto Suenaga and Jake Jones, along with locals Michael Sit, will continue to do battle in front of the grandstand.

Mid-summer carnival

2015 Pan Delta Summer Race is not just for the fans to spectate. The commercial area is also full of action. There are lots of racing cars stationed here for the fans to get a closer look, including Formula 4, Formula Renautl, Radical, Yamaha, KTM, Ducati and Kawasaki machines, just like a racing car show. If you are interested to test your skills, just purchase a can of Red Bull energy drink and you will be given a ticket for the Formula 1 simulator, allowing you to experience the speed of a Formula 1 machine!

If the simulater is not cool enough, the Pan Delta organizers might have just the thing for you. China Production Car Performance Race (CPC in short) national wide driver search is held at the Pan Delta commercial area.  All interested drivers will drive the same type of car through 4 different tests. The top 10 drivers will enter the CPC area race. This is a skills only contest. So if you dream to become a racing driver, then bring your driving license, come and give it a try! The next professional driver could be you!
