2015 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival will commence on 21 March 2015. A heated motorsport battle to get the new year going, what more could you hope for?

The 2015 Chinese New Year arrived later than usual. But it is not a bad thing for the motorsport enthusiasts. The fireworks from the First Full Moon Festival is not yet far from the memory and the new motorsport season is upon us. In Albert Park in Australia, the new Formula 1 season has just begun. Here in China, Zhuhai International Circuit’s “Pan Delta Super Racing Festival” is ready to rumble. The motorsport fans are having no rest.

Excitement Upgrade

The new season of Pan Delta has continued its high level of organization. From the timetable, it can be seen that all kinds of very competitive, entertaining and spectacular races are abound and are very well scheduled, allowing everyone to enjoy the weekend to the full.

Among the many competitive races, three have been significantly upgraded and the fans must pay attention. First the hugely popular Red Bull Drift Battle. The “boxer”, “penalty kicks” and “Ice Bucket Challenge” from 2014 earned high praise from the fans for originality and skill. In 2015, apart from the two car drift battle, an obstacles race will be introduced for Saturday. Obstacles will be placed on various parts of the track to increase the difficulty for the drivers. The obstacles battle will also allow the spectators to award points. The race officials will award a score to each driver according to the noise generated by the grandstand crowd, using a decibel meter. This score combined with the professional judges’ score will be the driver’s final score. Our very own James Tang, Italian Federico Sceriffo, Japanese D1 driver Naoto Suenaga, Australian drift champion Jake Jones etc will once again be here to fight for the winner’s trophy. Remember to make your noises of support count for your favourite drifter!

Hero’s welcome

Circuit Hero has always been the signature dish on Pan Delta’s menu. This year the fans’ favourite dish has just got tastier! The new Circuit Hero Three category is for cars produced before 1st Jan 2001. There are plenty of these older cars available in the Pan Pearl River Delta region. They are cheaper but are no longer able to compete against the current cars. The establishment of this class allow these aging cars to comeback into activity, but also lower the costs of participation, further reinforcing Circuit Hero’s grass root attachment.

In addition, 2015 Circuit Hero Two’s regulation has been amended. Not only is the class only open to production cars produced after 1st Jan 2001, the drivers will no longer be qualifying for Circuit Hero V. The 2015 Circuit Hero Two will permit 40 cars on the grid and each class will be awarded a certain number of grid places according to the number of entries. Cars will have to qualify for the grid in the qualifying sessions. This arrangement should help to increase competitiveness among drivers, also strengthening Circuit Hero Two as the battle field for all the tuning brands.

With the development of the Circuit Hero system, more and more ambitious drivers are appearing at ZIC.

Apart from the 3 races mentioned above, there will also be ZIC Superbike, Circuit Hero One, AFR Asian Series and Audi R8 LMS Cup. All the drivers are busy getting themselves and their cars ready for the big day.

New Year Festival

Pan Delta has always pride itself on creating a motorsport festival for fans. Apart from the motorsport festival, the commercial, service and activity areas are second to none in the country. It will be no exception in 2015, new race car displays and fans activities will be just as interesting as ever.

In the commercial area, apart from the regular ZIC stage performances, race car displays, vintage car, motorsport souvenirs, pit lane visits and food stalls, the Red Bull area is introducing a wind-up toy car drift experience. Any spectator who purchases 3 cans of red bull can enter the “Red Bull Wind-Up Car Grand Prix” and experience drifting on a mini circuit. Red Bull Race Queens and a Red Bull formula race car will be on show as well. TRT’s display area will invite 2014 Circuit Hero Two B2 class champion and 1st runner’s up drivers to meet with the fans. Looking for autographs and other gifts, don’t be late! There is a softer side to the commercial area as Italian gelato 18 degrees ice cream will be on hand, ready with their polaroid cameras to take pictures of their sweet visitors and post them on their display wall. Spectators can buy the imported Italian ice-cream at a discount and treasure their sweet memories.

In addition, Audi, GT Tyres and Yamaha will also have many activities for the fans to enjoy.

As for the nurturing of motorsport culture, ZIC motorsport culture interactive showcase will not display vintage cars. The new PFC simulation experience will allow fans to feel what it is like to control an aeroplane. An expert flight instructor will teach the visitors how to fly while the pretty hostesses will provide support.

Furthermore, professional Formula 1 race simulator is also available for the spectators to test their skills. The current generation simulators are highly realistic, it will give you a true boasting right if you could set a good time.

A new Pan Delta for the new year. ZIC is also planning to host two contract signing ceremonies, one with Nanjing Wantrack International Autopark and the other with Automobile Club de Macau, China. Due to security requirements, ZIC has to restrict the number of visitors to Pan Delta, so what are you waiting for? Search for ZIC on Wechat (Wechat ID: ZIC1993) and grab your ticket now!
