13 Dec 2014 The grid for the AFR Series was decided with Qualifying for round 12 & 13 on Saturday

The last two rounds of AFR Series qualifying was unbelievably a close battle between ART’s #11 Pu Jun Jin, FRD’s #8 Alice Powell, PSR’s #66 Maxx Ebenal, Champ’s #1 Julio Acosta and #7 Kimi Qin. They were pushing hard and giving a dramatic run to the Qualifying Session.

Alice Powell, Julio Acosta, Pu Jun Jintighten the gap between and the pole kept changing. Alice Powell remained her position untilPu Jun Jin made his personal best of 1:37:908 at lap 12, which made him to take the pole and maintain it until he crossed the finish line.
 
PSR’s Maxx Ebenal was losing his pace in the first 15 minutes of the qualifying. Fortunately he kept on improving his lap time and secured third place in the first round.

Champ’s Julio Acosta had tried to pick up a good pace and made himself step forward in the front crowd but later on he dropped down and let Alice Powell and Maxx Ebenalovertook. He took the fourth place in the end unfortunately.

 
Kimi Qin struggled at the third-fourth position but then he lost the pace and only be able to maintain the sixth placeafter being overtaken by PSR’s #10 Sunny Wong who was joining AFR Series for the first time.
 
After the dramatic run in Qualifying all drivers would now be making their final preparations to their last two rounds of AFR Series.
