08 Oct 2014 Circuit Hero Two A: Kuang Can-Wei wins comfortably as Baldy gets podium finish
At 5:00pm on 20 September 2014, normally this is the time when teams and drivers retreat and prepare for a good night's rest. But due to the high number of races this weekend, Circuit Hero Two has to run at this time. The sun is still bright and the track is still hot. Conditions are just as good as the earlier races.
First on track is Circuit Hero Two A. With 38 cars lining up, they literally fill the grid. Compared with Circuit Hero One, this group of race cars are clearly more civilian. They include Scirocco, Yaris, Geely etc. Car types are numerous and have all gone through different levels of performance upgrades. From the most professional to the home style, with only a standard roll cage added for safety. The qualifying results says that their performance range from 1:49 to 2:17, that's nearly half a minute between the fastest and slowest. We can find many familiar names on the entry list, Kuang Can-Wei, Xie Jia-Xing, Wang Gui-Hua, Gary Sham and He Wei-Heng.
Kuang Can-Wei is on pole position with his Scirocco. Xie Jia-Xing is second, while no. 888 Xie Zhen-Ge is third and Wang Gui-Hua is fourth. Behind them is Gary Sham and He Wei-Heng. The cars in the first three rows all managed 1:54 seconds laps. This class of drivers is secondary to no one in the country.
The race begins and Kuang Can-Wei makes a good start. Xie Zheng-Ge also makes a good getaway from row 2, quickly inserting himself between Kuang Can-Wei and Xie Jia-Xing. But his second place does not last long as Xie Jia-Xing soon overtakes Xie Zheng-Ge for second at turn 3. At the end of lap 1, the top 6 are the same as they were on the grid.
On lap 2, a car stops at the side of the track at turn 10, since it is in a dangerous position, the race officials sent out the safety car to lead the field. On lap 5, the lights on the safety car is turned off and the race re-starts. Kuang Can-Wei slows down just before release and he makes a good run as soon as the safety car is back in the pit lane. Xie Jia-Xing tries to keep up but as Kuang had the initiative he is not able to challenge.
Everyone is more or less settled in their positions and on the last lap, Kuang Can-Wei comes up to a backmarker but he overtakes easily. In the end, Kuang Can-Wei wins comfortably with Xie Jia-Xing in second. He Wei-Heng (Baldy) takes third place.
