18 Sep 2013 Chinese made big capacity bike appears in ZIC Superbikes as Huang Shi-Zhao wins against injured Dan Kruger

On 14 September 2013, the 2013 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival (Autumn Race) officially begins. First on track is the ZIC Superbike race. Recently, Zhuhai has relieved its ban on motorcycles, as the country also begins to change its attitude towards motorcycle use. Motorcycle sports is now beginning to flourish. Pan Delta has followed the national market trend and for this race, a new national superbike class is introduced, creating a platform whereby motorcycle enthusiasts can compete.

With the likes of Yamaha, Honda, Ducati and Kawasaki among its entrants, the two Qianjiang Huanglong 600 bikes are not exactly state of the art, but they do manage to turn some heads in the crowd. It is the first time Chinese made big capacity bikes are racing against world renowned bikes. The rider claims that they are motorcycle enthusiasts and are thankful to Pan Delta for giving them this opportunity to go racing with locally made bikes. They hope to lead the way by taking advantage of the current healthy climate for the Chinese motorcycle industry.

With the ever lowering entry threshold, the Autumn Race managed to attract 43 entries. Among them regulars such as Huang Shi-Zhao, Dan Kruger, Zhou Hao-Yun, Hu Zhao-Neng, Guan Ying-Hao...etc. With riders from as far away as Japan and Canada, Pan Delta's ZIC Superbike race is currently the highest level motorcycle race in China.

At 2pm on 14 September, the race begins. As the red lights are extinguished, over 40 superbikes power themselves down the front straight, creating a wall of noise that makes the crowd very excited. Yamaha rider Huang Shi-Zhao leads the way while Dan Kruger from Canada follows in second place. Huang's teammate Li Zheng-Peng and Mohd Ramdan fights for third place.

After resisting for six laps, Li Zheng-Peng is not able to hold onto third place and is passed by Fendt. Huang moves clear of injured Dan Kruger and wins the race, taking the first win of the weekend. Dan Kruger and Mohd Ramdan finished second and third.
