15 Mar 2013 Fierce excitement returns as Pan Delta AFR Series to kick off this Weekend

Every March, as the spring comes and the land is warmth, the season of racing begins as well, including the Pan Delta AFR Series, as the Series will kick off the 5-race-season on March 15-17.

AFR Series will still base the races in Zhuhai International Circuit as there will be 4 rounds of races to be held there. For 3 of them, Pan Delta AFR will be joining Pan Delta Racing Festival and for the season finale, it will be a support race of the Zhuhai 500km Endurance Race. Moreover, the Pan Delta AFR series will return to Shanghai for this season as the series will hold a round of races on April 27-28 at Shanghai International Circuit. This addition will highlight this exciting season.

This year’s Pan Delta AFR Series will see drivers to be divided in 3 categories – International, Asian and Masters Class. The International Class will include drivers who are the front runners of previous Pan Delta AFR seasons or other national races. Asian Class will consist of the up-and-coming Asian drivers. Meanwhile, Masters Class will be the battlefield for experienced drivers who are 35 or above. The points scoring system is twisted by a bit this year as well, as the championship will count towards the best 8 rounds out of 10. This change shall stimulate the battle for the championship.

Pan Delta AFR Series is now heading towards its 14th year. In the previous seasons, we had drivers like Kamui Kobayashi and Kazuki Nakajima to race for us before they enter F1. We also provided chances for young Chinese drivers like Congfu Cheng and Qinghua Ma at the start of their career. For the 2013 Pan Delta AFR Series, we will continue to attract good drivers from around the globe to join our races, and will provide an ever exciting and colorful season for our race fans.
