17 Sep 2012 AFR Series Race 3 Round 6-Consecutive triumph for Buzz Racing Team

The AFR Series Race 3 Round 6 began at 15:00. Buzz Racing Team once again put on a dominating performance securing the top two places at the event. The major difference in this race was that Yosuke Yamazaki and Satoshi Kosugi switched their places. The race went flawlessly and without injury, except Jimmy Chan from FRD Racing got stuck on the warm-up lap and Pete Olson spun on to the grass.

Yosuke was leading in the race, defending his pole position from the beginning; from lap 3, Satoshi put pedal to the metal and overtook Yosuke in a flash of driving genius. Satoshi kept his lead till the end.

Shaun Thong from FRD Racing also had a smooth start. He firstly ratcheted up from 8th to 6th. Then he jumped up to 4th after two laps. However, time prevented him from chasing for a podium finish. He guarded the 4th position to the end. 

On the contrary, the IFC Category seems more variable. First, Thomas Luedi faded 4 positions from the 5th row, but he climbed back one position every two laps on average. He sprinted pass Leo Wong on lap 12, leading the class to the end. Leo Wong, Thomas Luedi and the rookie driver Xuefeng Li, from PS Racing, respectively were first, second and third in the race. Thomas Chow from ART overtook Xuefeng Li while Thomas Luedi overtook Leo Wong. Thomas Chow and Xuefeng Li had an especially fierce chase in which at last, Xuefeng Li seized an opportunity, grabbing third place when Thomas Chow slipped briefly.
