At 16:48 on 17 June, 2017 Circuit Hero-Three race 2 qualifying officially begins. By now the rain has almost stopped, but there are still dark clouds overhead. Could the rain return again?

#70 Hu Qi-Ming/Tan Yun makes the first timed lap 2:08.287 to set the ball rolling. But soon the car loses control and runs off into the T1 sand trap. It may not be able to hold on to the top position.

Provisional second placed pairing Kuang Jian-Zhong/Huang Liang-Wen set a 2:08.650. Li Hui-Wei/Deng Yu-Ze are third in their #3 Honda Fit. This lap time is not very competitive against the leading duo.

In the end, #80 Kuang Jian-Zhong/Huang Liang-Wen is on pole position. #70 Hu Qi-Ming/Tan Yun are second on the grid, while #3 Li Hui-Wei/Deng Yu-Ze and #15 Lin Zhe/Lai Bo-Ge both managed to get down to 2:13s. They will start in third and fourth places respectively on row 2.
