14 Jun 2012 More Than15 Drivers will Join Race 2 of AFR Series

The 2012 AFR Series Race 2 has come with signs of significant growth from new cars and new drivers thus we expect an expansion of race entries and geographical exposure. To summarize, we have more than 15 cars from nine teams, drivers comes from five different countries.

The team championship in Asian Category in 2011, Champ Motorsport will be back to 2012 season from Race 2. They will co-operate with another two Japanese racing teams: Buzz Racing and Hopewill Buzz Racing; one Korean team called KIM’S RACING, all together they have six drivers: Satoshi Kosugi, Yosuke Yamazaki, Shigetomo Shimono, Gaku Ishiyama, Lim Che One and Peter Olson. Its main competitor PS Racing, the team championship in 2011 AFR Series Overall Category will send out Alexandra Asmasoebrata, who was also the first runner up of the Asian Class in 2011 season.

One much-touted team in this year—Asia Racing Team signed another two new drivers: Yang Xi who was racing in CFGP and Guille Pintanel, a two years Renault Formula racing experience driver. Together with Li Zhi Cong and Thomas Chow, ART definitely will be a strong competitor.

FRD Racing Team this time will keep the 14-year-old driver Jimmy Chan, experience but young racer Shaun Thongto fight for the champion. At the same time, Samson Chan will also join the FRD Racing Team.

The last but not least Chinese racing team-- Henmax Motor Sport will have Leo Ye.
