While the excitement of the 2011 Audi Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Spring Race is still lingering in the air, the Audi Pan Delta Summer Race is almost upon us. With 20,000 plus spectators and exciting racing, the Spring Race has once again demonstrated that Audi Pan Delta is now a firmly established motorsport event in China.

As a grass root event, Audi Pan Delta acknowledged the importance of fans for the development of the event. The fans’ needs are placed first. In recent years, Audi Pan Delta’s “Fans Policy” have been improving, after the introduction of “Fans Track Experience” and “Fans Passport” schemes, another new scheme is planned for June. “I am at Audi Pan Delta race event” microblog interactive activity will be organized. The organizers are heartened by the increase in entries from 30 cars to nearly 60 cars! This unexpected development forced Audi Pan Delta to divide them into 3 races. Production class and modified class will be separated.

Another new race will be a part of the summer Audi Pan Delta. It is the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, a one make race. The Ferrari Challenge started in 1993 and by the end of 2010, over 2,200 drivers from 24 countries have taken part. This year is the first year that Ferrari Challenge has come to Asia Pacific and Audi Pan Delta is the first race of the five races calendar. Chinese race fans will have the chance to see the latest 458 Challenge race car in action. This mid-engined V8 two door race car is based on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Ferrari is clearly using Audi Pan Delta as its first point for the 458 Challenge in China.

Apart from Circuit Hero and Ferrari Challenge, after two years of development, the well liked ZIC Superbike Race has risen to the level of the China Superbike Championship 600cc class, becoming the platform for big capacity motorbikes in China. Asia AFR Series’ return to Audi ZIC will also whet the appetite of those single seater lovers.
