08 May 2011 Hope Racing and Zhang Shan-Qi wins FLM class in Intercontinental Le Mans Cup race at Spa-Francorchamps.
On 7th May 2011, the second round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, 1000km of Spa-Francorchamps, was held in Belgium. Chinese driver Zhang Shan-Qi and teammates Luca Moro and Nicholas Marroc won the Formula Le Mans class.
The trio drove the No. 91 Hope Racing Oreca FLM09 to victory. Zhang Shanqi became the first Chinese driver to win an Le Mans-sanctioned race in Europe. The team finished the race 16th overall, 17 laps behind the race winning Peugeot 908 in LMP1 class after six hours of racing. The three drivers led the class for virtually the whole race.
The race attracted 34,600 spectators. Intercontinental Le Mans Cup - Zhuhai Round will be held at Audi Zhuhai International Circuit on 12 November. Zhang Shan-Qi will once again represent Hope Racing in his home race.
