19 Mar 2011 Circuit Hero Road Sport Race 1: Li Chao-Hua takes closely fought win

This year, Audi Pan Delta re-organized its classifications to make the races more professional and encourages more participation, providing more opportunities for the Southern China tuning and modification fans.

In the morning's qualifying session on 19 March, Li Chao-Hua, Deng Zhi-Lun and Xu Xin took the top 3 positions. At the start of the race, pole winner Li Chao-Hua leads away, Deng Zhi-Lun and Xu Xin follows closely. The focus of the race is on Nigel Farmer and Bill O'Brien's battle for fifth place. The duo runs nose-to-tail and battles hard.

In the middle of the race, Li Chao-Hua continues to extend his lead to more than 10 seconds. The comfortable lead allows him to dictates the race rhythm. Nigel Farmer also begins to get close to the lead cars after shaking off Bill O'Brien. On lap 7, Nigel Farmer closes to just 0.4 second between himself and Zhong Fa-An, shaping himself up for a challenge on 4th position.

In the final stages of the race, Nigel Farmer charges on and uses his superior skills to pass both Zhong Fa-An and Xu Xin to claim 3rd place. Xu Xin is reluctant to give up 3rd place and piles pressure on Nigel Farmer to return it to him.  On the final lap, leader Li Chao-Hua seems to have over-relaxed himself and almost loses his 5 seconds lead, beating Deng Zhi-lun by a mere 1.3 seconds gap at the finishing line. Deng Zhi-Lun takes 2nd place while Nigel Farmer holds off Xu Xin to keep his 3rd overall position.
