2011 AFR finally comes to the finale after 10 rounds of competition. Sandy Nicholas STUVIK of Asia Racing Team, has already won the driver title in R10. For International class, Samin Gomez BRICENO, the female driver from Top speed Racing Team will fight for the 1st runner-up with Tin SRITRAI of Asia Racing Team.
Once again, ART is sending a strong line up as before to compete in this race; on top of Sandy and Tin of Thailand, Ran ZHAN and Chi Cong LI of China and Suriya Bala Kerisnan Thevar of Singapore are all coming back. As for Champ Motorsport, Alexandra ASMASOEBRATA of Indonesia and David LAU will attend the contention with a new teammate, Kei YAMAURA of Japan. Top speed racing Team, Patrice BONZOM and Angelo NRGRO will fight together with Samin Gomez BRICENO.
ART is the favorite to win the team title after impressive performance this season. It is also worth mentioning that Samin Gomez Briceno who is the first female driver in AFR grabbing a pole position in last race is in strong form and likely to stand on the podium again.
With 2010 AFR season coming to an end this weekend, the 2011 AFR program has already been planned seeing the series visiting major circuits in Asia and China for 12 rounds of competition. Changes relating to regulation, racing format, FR2010 cars, new scholarship implementation etc. has been communicated to the teams and initial response is favorable.
