2006 Pan Delta Super Racing Festival attracted its first title sponsor “Frestech”. 4 rounds of the Frestech Pan Delta Super Racing Festival was held during the year. Each round attracted over 20,000 spectators, making the races true motorsport festivals.

 

 

 

On 30th November 2006, the latest Panoz DP01 Champ Car made its first runs at the Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) in front of hundreds of officials, guests and reporters. Brazilian driver Roberto Moreno drove the car around the track for a few laps.

 

 

Zhuhai International Circuit was awarded the "Best Circuit Award" in the 2006 China Autosport Awards organized by Autonews magazine.
