05 Jul 2016 Circuit Hero Three - Three car accident ends dramatic event

At 3:50 p.m. on 19 June, the final race of the Pan Delta Summer Race is ready to battle and deliver some final excitement before the close of the event. The cars are small cars that we see in our everyday lives. Even if these cars were highly tuned and modified, it would still be difficult for them to break into the 2:00 lap. Only two drivers managed to do so in qualifying yesterday, they are #66 Lou Wei-Qi and #38 Huang Guo-Quan. #5 Lin Shu-Ming and #8 Li Ye-Long are third and fourth. #15 Lin Zhe and #3 He Wei-Hang are on the third row. A total of 19 cars have entered this race.

At the start, Huang Guo-Quan passes Lou Wei-Qi s pole sitting car to take the lead. Lou tries to take back his place at turn 1 but to no avail. At the end of lap 1, Huang Guo-Quan leads by 0.8 second. It seems we have a fight on our hands.

Lap 2, #3 He Wei-Hang and #26 Chen Bin has a big fight in the corner. He Wei-Hang is on the outside, Chen Bin on the inside and #18 Deng Qi-Yan tries to squeeze through the middle. The three cars hit each other and #18 Deng Qi-Yan suffers too much damage to continue. Both He Wei-Hang and Chen Bin carry on.

Lap 4, Huang Yao-Rong s cute COPEN race car runs off into the sand trap and sadly has to retire. Huang Guo-Quan continues to lead with Lou Wei-Qi in pursuit. On lap 6, the gap between them is still just 1.7 seconds. On lap 9, Lou Wei-Qi succeeded in passing Huang Guo-Quan. It looks like Huang made a big mistake. On the next lap and Lou is 7 seconds to the good.

At the finish, Lou Wei-Qi completes the 8 lap race in first place, Li Ye-long is third while early race leader Huang Guo-Quan could only finish fourth overall but second in class.
