14 Sep 2019 Session stopped twice as Filipe Souza takes pole position; Dark horse emerges as Badaraco takes second place

On 14 September, Pan Delta Super Racing Festival Autumn Race begins officially. In the qualifying session for Circuit Hero-One, #26 Filipe Souza takes pole position ahead of #28 Jerome Badaraco and TRC Racing’s #27 Li Ka-Hei takes third place.

At 15:40 in the afternoon, Circuit Hero-One qualifying session officially begins. Souza and Li Ka-Hei are on good form, even with additional ballast, both get down to 1:44s. But Li Ka-Hei exceeded the track limits and his lap time on lap 2 is cancelled. #6 Kelvin Leong then runs off track at turn 10. The race officials display the red flag to stop the session.

At 15:50, the pit lane exit lights turn green and qualifying restarts. But the calm period does not last long, with #78 Chen Da-Xing going off track at turn 5. The race officials show the red flag once again and the session is once again stopped.

At 15:58, qualifying once again restarts, the drivers make a final dash. #28 Badaraco sets a 1:44.122 to take second place from #27 Li Ka-Hei.

In the end, #26 Filipe Souza takes pole position with 1:43.514. #28 Badaraco is in second place, #27 Li Ka-Hei of TRC takes third position. #12 Chen Yong-Tong, #68 He Hong-Jin and Foshan Xiongji Racing #18 Cheng Chun-Hua will line up from 4th to 6th positions respectively.
