15 Sep 2019 Yiu Lung takes victory in finale

On 15 September, with the end of the Circuit Hero-Two race, Pan Delta Super Racing Festival – Autumn Race also comes to a close. In the race with the most entries, #9 Yiu Lung takes overall victory, 13Racing Hasaki Oil Racing #91 Andy Weng is second overall and Penrite TPR Racing #66 Wu Wen-Fa takes third place overall.

As the race begins, 13Racing Hasaki Oil Racing #91 Andy Weng dives down the inside line and takes the lead. Pole position starter #9 Yiu Lung is down in second, with #7 Chung Wing-Keung behind him. As the race leaders enter lap 2, midfield runner #69 Lin Zhan-Peng loses control at turn 14, his car swerving from side to side, #8 is unsighted and hits its right front against the left front of #69. #69 loses its left front wheel and stops by the side of the track, while #8 is able to continue to the exit of the pit lane.

After the safety car has led the race for 5 laps, the track is cleared of debris and the race re-starts. Race leader #91 Andy Weng makes a quick getaway, at turn 4, #91 Andy Weng, #9 Yiu Lung and Foshan Xiongji Racing #36 Chen Bing-Xiong form the lead group. Behind them, #7 Chung Wing-Keung, #59 Anson Wong and #87 Tsang Chi-Lung had a coming together at turn 1 and the safety car is needed once more.

The race restarts at lap 11. Yiu Lung still has not given up on trying to win. He passes Andy Weng on the outside of turn 11 to take the lead. #77 Xie Zheng-Ge spins at turn 4, fortunately he doesn’t hit anything, but he rejoins the race in 13th place.

A lap later, the chequered flag is waved and the race is over. #9 Yiu Lung takes overall victory. 13Racing Hasaki Oil Racing #91 Andy Weng finishes in second place. Foshan Xiongji Racing #36 Chen Bing-Xiong crosses the line in third place, but he infringed the starting procedure and has 35 seconds added to his race time, dropping him down to 22nd position. Penrite TPR Racing #66 Wu Wen-Fa thus is promoted to 3rd place overall. These three drivers are also the top 3 of Circuit Hero-Two class A.

Circuit Hero-Two class B top 3 are #44 Chen Jia-Ping, Winson Motorsport #63 Mai Zhi-Wei and #20 Huang Le-Fu.

After the race Yiu Lung said, this is his first year racing in Pan Delta and is very happy to achieve this result.

Andy Weng said because the safety car is on track for too long, he could not really enjoy the race.
