From May 29 to 31, 2026 Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Touring Car Championship returned to Zhuhai International Circuit, featuring Races 3 and 4 of Macau Road Sport Challenge. In the Group B Race 3 held on May 30, YU Yi Hao from Border Racing Team fought through intense mid-field battles to seal the race victory. In Group B Race 4 on May 31, TANG Carson from Auto Wonderland delivered an outstanding drive to take overall honours and claim the race title.

Qualifying: SU Jiangnan Took Pole in Dominant Fashion

Macau Road Sport Challenge Group B Qualifying wrapped up on May 29. SU Jiangnan from Falcon Racing Team, winner of Group B Race 2 at the previous Round, carried his outstanding form forward to claim pole position with a fastest lap of 1:53.677. LEUNG Chi Ho from Guangdong Gao Ka Racing Team slotted in second, a mere 0.078 seconds adrift, while CHEANG Kin Sang from Border Racing Team took third place.

Positions four through ten went to: XIAO Meng from Falcon Racing Team, TANG Carson from Auto Wonderland, YU Yi Hao from Border Racing Team, Jowie RAMIREZ IRIZARRY from Zhongshan SRC Team, LI Kwok Chuen from RPM Racing Team, LIN Hao from Zhongshan SRC Team and ZHANG Hanbiao from Guangdong Gao Ka Racing Team in sequence.

Race 3: YU Yi Hao Battled Through to Victory

In the afternoon of May 30, Macau Road Sport Challenge Group B Race 3 began. Starting from pole position, SU Jiangnan made a clean getaway to lead the field. Meanwhile, LEUNG Chi Ho and CHEANG Kin Sang went side-by-side into Turn 1 battling for second place. Holding superior pace on the outside line, CHEANG Kin Sang outbraked LEUNG Chi Ho decisively and immediately set his sights on chasing down SU Jiangnan up front.

After a lap of chasing, CHEANG Kin Sang drew alongside SU Jiangnan on the start straight out of the final corner thanks to superior corner-exit speed and moved past into the race lead. At the same time, a serious multi-car pileup occurred in the chasing pack, forcing race control to wave the red flag and halt the race straight away.

After a period of track recovery and cleanup work, race resumed. Behind the safety car, competitors lined up on the grid according to the running order held prior to the red flag stoppage and returned to circuit action. As a result, SU Jiangnan reclaimed the race lead, with LEUNG Chi Ho and CHEANG Kin Sang slotting back into second and third respectively.

As the green flag flew again, only the final three laps remained. The leading group became locked in a ferocious wheel-to-wheel scrap. On the last second lap, CHEANG Kin Sang launched another attack into Turn 1 but collided with LEUNG Chi Ho, the incident inadvertently catching out race leader SU Jiangnan as well. Capitalising on the chaos, fourth-placed YU Yi Hao surged into the lead and took the chequered flag first.

YU Yi Hao ultimately secured the race win. LI Kwok Chuen climbed up through the field across multiple positions to finish second, while Jowie RAMIREZ IRIZARRY rounded out the podium in third. TANG Carson, LIN Hao, XIAO Meng, FUNG Hoi Ting, ZHANG Hanbiao, YING Yat Fai from Team Pro Spec and CHEN Daxing from TEAM ENDLESS completed the top ten from fourth to tenth respectively.

Race 3 Winner Interview-- YU Yi Hao

This race turned out to be a wonderful surprise. I failed to score A points across both races in the previous Round, so I’m overjoyed to stand on the overall race winner’s podium today. The race was full of twists and turns with on-track incidents occurring both before and after the red flag period, yet none of it disrupted my rhythm or mental focus. I kept composed throughout and fought my way up to the top spot.

Race 4: TANG Carson Took a Dramatic Last-Gasp Victory

Macau Road Sport Challenge Group B Race 4 got off to a spectacular start on the morning of May 31. As the red lights went out, YU Yi Hao made a clean getaway, with LI Kwok Chuen hot on his heels. Starting from the second row, Jowie RAMIREZ IRIZARRY suffered a poor launch and dropped several positions. LIN Hao climbed multiple spots to claim third place, while TANG Carson, FUNG Hoi Ting, XIAO Meng, ZHANG Hanbiao, YING Yat Fai and CHEN Daxing occupied fourth through ninth respectively for the time being.

Over the opening two laps, YU Yi Hao gradually pulled out a lead while fierce battles raged among the chasing pack further back.On Lap 3, CHEUNG Chun Yuen from Bai Li Hao Team and CHEUK Hing On from ACE Motorsport fought hard for 10th place. Their cars made contact, allowing trailing drivers including SU Jiangnan and CHEANG Kin Sang to surge past them one after another. Up front, LIN Hao attempted an overtake on LI Kwok Chuen but failed; he was instead passed by TANG Carson and dropped down to fourth position.

On Lap 6, an on-track incident brought out the safety car and bunched up the entire field. Race resumed on Lap 10. Pole-sitting leader YU Yi Hao could not pick up pace straight away and was overtaken consecutively by LI Kwok Chuen, TANG Carson and LIN Hao down the start-finish straight. LI Kwok Chuen nearly lost control at Turn 4; LIN Hao swerved onto the runoff grass to avoid the car ahead and spun out. Despite picking up minor contact amid the chaos, TANG Carson fought clear to grab the race lead, while XIAO Meng avoided the melee and moved up three positions into second place.

TANG Carson and XIAO Meng battled all the way to the finish line, crossing the chequered flag virtually side by side. TANG Carson claimed a narrow victory by a margin of 0.223 seconds. XIAO Meng settled for second place, while SU Jiangnan secured the third podium spot. ZHANG Hanbiao, CHEANG Kin Sang, YU Yi Hao, FUNG Hoi Ting, Jowie RAMIREZ IRIZARRY, YING Yat Fai and WU Wai Hung from Team Pro Spec finished fourth through tenth respectively.

Race 4 Winner Interview-- TANG Carson

I got off to a solid start in the final but got overtaken by rivals midway through the race. I told myself to try my best to hold consistent lap times and defend my position. After the safety car pulled in and race resumed in the closing stages, I seized my chance to move up the order. My car sustained minor damage after being caught up in an unforeseen incident during the fight. With three laps remaining, my team instructed me to adopt a conservative race strategy. I’m delighted and fortunate to cross the line as the race winner in the end.
