On October 6th, the last 2021 Circuit Hero Time Attack event came to an end at Zhuhai International Circuit. The National Day Festival and the enthusiasm of the fans are intertwined, and a perfect end to this year's Circuit Hero Time Attack event.
In the eighth year, a total of nearly 4,000 participants
This year is the eighth year of the Circuit Hero Time Attack event, with a total of nearly 4,000 participants. The person in charge of the event, Mr. Zhou Qiang, said, "Due to the impact of the epidemic, the number of participants in this year's Circuit Hero Time Attack event dropped slightly. Next year. When the epidemic eases, we will resume the schedule of four activities a year, and will adjust the rules of the race and the participating classes. Such as the addition of new energy vehicles, they are all under consideration and planning. After years of accumulation and precipitation, the event has attracted more and more attention from modification enthusiasts. The number of participants has increased year by year. Next year we will try to add more experience classes so that more people can enjoy this lively and fun atmosphere. The Circuit Hero Time Attack event is worth looking forward to."
The time trials of each class officially started at 14:00. The first is the three-class time trial of CH1 & CH2 & CH3. At the start of the period, after two laps, Yao Guiping drove his Civic to the fastest lap of the period at 2:00:560, and rose to the first place with a lead of nearly 5 seconds. Immediately afterwards, on the next lap, Deng Jingliang drove his Civic around in 1 minute 55 seconds 989, overtaking his rival to the top of the court and the first place in the CH2 group. At the last moment, Zhang Bofei drove his BRZ around and surpassed Chen Lang to second place in the CH3 class with an advantage of 0.648 seconds. Since then, the overall ranking has not changed. The top three in the CH1 class are Chen Qiaoming and Xie Zhendong; the top three in the CH2 class are Deng Jingliang, Yao Guiping, and Luo Haoxuan; the top three in the CH3 class are Xian Guangming, Zhang Bofei, and Chen Lang.
What followed was the CH6 & CH7 two-class time trial. Dong Jiancheng drove the TTRS to lap in 1 minute 49 seconds 742. He was in excellent form and temporarily ranked first in the class with a relatively large advantage, and top place in CH7 class. In the CH6 group, Peng Huiyuan drove the Golf around in 1 minute 58 seconds 237 on his third lap, surpassing Chen Xin to rise to second place in class. In the last five minutes, Zhu Haiqiang drove the EVO to lap in 1 minute 51 seconds 794, surpassing Zhu Junde and rising to third in CH7 class. On the last lap, Chen Xin drove the GTI around in 1 minute, 56 seconds 646, jumping to the first place in the CH6 class. In the end, the top three in the CH6 class were Chen Xin, Chen Junlong, and Peng Huiyuan; the top three in the CH7 class were Dong Jiancheng, Xu Yingjie, and Zhu Haiqiang.
The following is the CH-A class time trial. At the start of the race, Mai Haoyuan drove the GTR in 1 minute, 44 seconds 496, rising to the first place. Ma Yue followed closely behind with a difference of 0.203 seconds, and fiercely competed for the category's annual championship. On the third lap, Ma Yue drove a GT3 in 1 minute 43 seconds 665 and jumped ahead. In the end, the top three in the CH-A class were Ma Yue, Mai Haoyuan and Ding Xixiang.
Next was the CH-B & CH-C class time trial. After a few laps of warm-up, Wang Zhuoyu drove the M3 to lap around in 1:47.181, temporarily ranking first in the class. Zhou Qijun and Luo Zhenjie ranked second and third. The overall ranking remained unchanged until the end. In the end, the top three in the CH-B class were Huang Ying, Zhang Tuohao, and Goh Chok Tong; the top three in the CH-C class were Wang Zhuoyu, Zhou Qijun, and Luo Zhenjie.
The CH-D group time trial was staged at the finale at 16 o'clock. Feng Gangqi drove the M2C in 1 minute, 46 seconds 953, rising to first place in class with a large advantage. Peng Yiwen and Pang Yu tied for second and third place. The overall ranking remained unchanged until the end of the time trial. The top three in the CH-D class were Feng Kangqi, Peng Yiwen, and Pang Yuping.
Finally, based on the results of the three races of the year, the annual Circuit Hero Time Attack of each class are CH1 class Xu Shaoxiong, CH2 class Deng Jingliang, CH3 class Xian Guangming, CH6 class Chen Xin, CH7 class Li Yixin, CH-A class Ma Yue, CH- Wu Zuodong in class B, Wang Zhuoyu in class CH-C, and Peng Yiwen in class CH-D.
Interviews after the event
After the race, the CH6 champion Chen Xin said, “I am very happy to win this year‘s championship. Today’s time attack can be said to be relatively lucky for me as I won with just a 0.3 second advantage. Next year. I should still return to this class, but I will try to break through myself and get more good results."
Wang Zhuoyu, this year’s champion of the CH-C group, said, “From the third place in the first race, to the second place in the second race, and then to today’s first place, this year I am constantly improving. I feel very happy to be able to win this annual championship. I feel very good about the new energy class that the Circuit Hero Time Attack may introduce next year. I am looking forward to it. I will definitely participate if I have the opportunity."
The 2021 Circuit Hero Time Attack event has been fully completed, presumably the fans are still unfulfilled. Next year, there will be more surprises for Circuit Hero Time Attack, and we look forward to seeing more fans at Zhuhai International Circuit!
