27 Jan 2026 Circuit Hero - Challenge Group's Match Commenced, Wang Zhuoping Won the Championship

On January 17th, 2026 Circuit Hero - Challenge Group Selection Race kicked off at Zhuhai International Circuit. Wang Zhuopeng, No.19 driver from Baohui Racing Team, achieved a perfect performance and won the race, thus starting the first battle of 2026. Zheng Jiansheng, No. 96 driver from Border Racing Team, took the second place. No. 10 driver Chen Zeyan participating in the race as an individual, won the third place.

The qualifying session roared into action, Wang Zhuopeng claimed the pole position

Circuit Hero- Challenge Group Qualifying Session officially kicked off at 11:20 this morning. A group of strong drivers engaged in a single lap race to compete for the front row starting positions. During the qualifying session, there were tense situations on the track, and the race was twice interrupted by red flags due to accidents. Wang Zhuopeng seized the crucial opportunity and set the fastest lap time of 1:51.717, securing the pole position. Zheng Jiasheng came in second. Chen Zeyan ranked third.

No. 7 driver Huang Shiwen from Guangqi Trumpchi Falcon Racing Academy, No. 73 driver of Jiangmen Xingrui Racing Team, Guo Haozhang, No. 21 driver of Lifeng Racing Team, Wang Hao, No. 33 driver of Guangqi Changan Falcon Racing Academy, Xiao Meng, No. 75 driver of Border Racing Team, Zhong Huixuan, No. 7 driver of Lifeng Racing Team, Lin Lifeng, and No. 27 driver of Huilihe Guangdong Heavy Truck Team, Zhang Hanbiao, ranked fourth to tenth respectively.

Wang Zhuopeng emerged victorious from the chaotic battle, claiming the overall championship

Circuit Hero - Challenge Group Selection Race began at 16:30. The initial competition was extremely intense, with multiple racing cars engaging in close combat. The pole position holder Wang Zhuopeng played it cool and steady, securing the first position in the race. Zheng Jiansheng ranked second. The talented driver Lin Lifu performed astonishingly well, climbing six positions and advancing from ninth to third. Xiao Meng and the Zhongshan SRC team's No.95 driver Lin Hao were affected by an accident and withdrew from the race. The race stewards immediately dispatched a safety car.

After the restart of the race, the battle for rankings intensified. The gap between the top six drivers in the race was only 1 second. In the final stage, Lin Lifeng and Guo Haozhang collided while competing for the ranking; the No. 72 driver of Longzhu Racing Team, Zhuo Qing'an, made a mistake and drove out of the gravel area at the 14th corner. The safety car was once again deployed and remained on the track until the end of the race.

Wang Zhuopeng performed exceptionally well throughout the competition and won the championship of the Circuit Hero - Challenge Group Selection Race. Zheng Jiasheng came in second place, and Chen Zeyan took the third place. Zhong Chongxuan, Ye Huixi, Huang Shiwen, Zhang Hantao, Liang Zhihao, He Huan, and He Changci ranked fourth to tenth respectively.

The overall champion Wang Zhuopeng concluded after the race: "The competition today was very exciting and extremely intense. Even a slight mistake on my part could have cost me the championship. My main goal for the race was to maintain my own pace, keep my long-distance speed stable, and avoid making any mistakes. In the main race tomorrow, I will continue to strive for the overall championship with all my strength!"

On Sunday, Circuit Hero - Challenge Group will compete in the main race at  Zhuhai International Circuit. This will be a more comprehensive and rigorous ultimate test of the performance of the racing cars, the team strategy, and the determination of the drivers. Please stay tuned!
