29 May 2022 Race long battle: Chen Bing-Xiong and Kenny Chung take victory in Circuit Hero – Super Mass Production Class Race One and Race Two respectively
On 29 May, 2022 ZMA Club Race welcomed the two races of Circuit Hero – Super Mass Production Class. All major tuning shops and modification specialists came to the circuit with their best wares and put on a great show on track. In the end, Foshan Xiongji Racing #38 Chen Bing-Xiong and K2C Motorsports #7 Kenny Chung took victories in Race One and Race Two respectively.
Race One
Circuit Hero – Super Mass Production Race One begins at 10:20 in the morning. The race distance is 10 laps and 26 drivers are taking part. At the start, #7 Kenny Chung makes a good getaway and leads the race. Then at T14, #37 Zhou Yun-Jie and #99 Gao Ying-Zhe makes successive overtakes and move up to second and third respectively. But soon a downpour occurs and #99 spins at T11, while #38 Chen Bing-Xiong and #7 Kenny Chung move back into the top 2 positions.
On lap 2, multiple cars spin at T4, then #36 spins at T11 and #87 spins into the gravel at T14. #33 also loses control on the main straight, prompting the race officials to show the yellow flag. Safety car is quickly dispatched. At this time the top 3 are #38 Chen Bing-Xiong, #37 Zhou Yun-Jie and #88 Zhuang Xue-Fu. Pole position starter Kenny Chung is down in 17th place.
With 6 laps to go, the rain intensifies again. The race officials show the red flag to stop the race. 15 minutes later, the race is terminated due to poor weather conditions. The top 3 overall are #38 Chen Bing-Xiong, #37 Zhou Yun-Jie and #88 Zhuang Xue-Fu.

Race Two
Circuit Hero – Super Mass Production Class Race Two officially begins at 16:14. It is also the last race of the day. The race distance is 10 laps. 26 drivers are taking part. At the start, #7 Kenny Chung maintains his number 1 position, #37 Zhou Yun-Jie runs off track onto the grass at T3, loses second position but is able to rejoin. Yellow caution flags are displayed but the race continues.
On lap 2, race one winner #38 Chen Bing-Xiong hits trouble and stops on the grass at T4, regrettably he has to retire. The race officials shows the yellow flag and the race continues. At this time the top 2 of the race are #7 Kenny Chung and #77 Lin Xue-Jun. The duo are running nose-to-tail. #99 Xie Zheng-Ge is in third position. #37 Zhou Yun-Jie is now up to seventh overall, after his earlier mistake.
On lap 4, #2 stops on the grass by the side of the main straight. The safety car is dispatched. Two laps later the safety car returns to the pit lane. The race resumes. #7 Kenny Chung and #77 Lin Xue-Jun battles on for the lead. By this time Zhou Yun-Jie is up to fourth position overall.
Final two laps, the battle between the leading duo is still going on, the gap between them is rarely more than a second. But #36 stops on the grass at T14, necessitating the use of the safety car again. As it is the last lap, all race cars are not allowed to make overtaking moves. In the end, the top 3 overall are #7 Kenny Chung, #77 Lin Xue-Jun and #99 Xie Zheng-Ge.

Post Race Interviews
After the race, overall winner Kenny Chung said, “Because of the rain in the morning race, I had a small accident and failed to finish. I am thankful for the fine weather in the afternoon, allowing me to start from the pole position and take the victory. I had a steady performance.”
Second place overall Lin Xue-Jun said, “Racing is to go full speed ahead, so on the last lap I was still fighting. I felt I am stronger this year than last year, but the car was not in good shape. Overall I am still very happy. Hopefully in the next race I will be able to win.”
Third place overall Xie Zheng-Ge said, “Thank you to Zhuhai International Circuit for organizing the ZMA Club Race, everyone has had a good time. We enjoyed the race weekend. Hopefully the remaining races of the year can be run just as smoothly.”
