The 2026 Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Touring Car Championship will stage a spectacular showdown at Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) from May 7 to 9. As the flagship race weekend following the new strategic cooperation between Zhuhai International Circuit and Automobile General Association of China-Macau, the event boasts an impressive grid of over 100 race cars. It also undertakes the vital mission of selecting elite drivers for the 73rd Macau Grand Prix.

Zhuhai-Macao Joint Effort to Forge a New Chapter of Racing in the Greater Bay Area

The holding of this tournament stems from the consensus of both sides to further deepen cooperation. In March 2026, Zhuhai International Circuit and the Automobile General Association of China-Macau officially signed the Strategic Framework Cooperation Agreement at the Kartódromo de Coloane in Macao, China.The agreement aims to jointly boost the development of regional motorsports, and forge close collaboration in event organization, staff training and exchanges. As the flagship event following the joint cooperation between the two parties, the Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Touring Car League marks a brand-new stage for the integration of racing resources between Zhuhai and Macao.

Three Major Races: The Mandatory Path to Macau and a Cradle for Rising Stars

The 2026 Zhuhai–Hong Kong–Macao Touring Car Championship features showdowns across three major races: Circuit Hero-Three, Macau Road Sport Challenge, and GT Challenge. More than 100 race cars in total have entered the three races, covering full-spectrum competition from grassroots entry-level racing all the way to professional selection.

Circuit Hero-Three

A classic entry-level race hosted by Zhuhai International Circuit, it is hailed as one of the cradles for emerging racing drivers. Mass-production road cars including Honda Civic, Fit, City, and GAC Trumpchi Empow participate after professional safety modifications. Its’ cost-effective entry threshold enables countless motorsport enthusiasts to take their first step from track-day amateurs to professional competitors. Two major tire brands, SAILUN Tires and Rydanz Tires, will provide strong support for a large number of drivers in Circuit Hero-Three this weekend.

Macau Road Sport Challenge

Serving as one of the key qualifying events for the 73rd Macau Grand Prix, this race adopts spec racing with unified Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ models. Drivers aiming to secure entry to the Macau main race in November must deliver outstanding performances on the Zhuhai track. The competition is extremely intense and cutthroat.

GT Challenge

Also an essential qualifier for the Macau Grand Prix, the GT Challenge gathers GT4-spec race cars from luxury brands such as McLaren, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. The duel of high-performance machines will test drivers’ precision and courage under extreme handling limits.
